The Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA) has been assisting individuals in planning, preparing, and paying for college for nearly 30 years. One of the core missions of the not-for-profit state agency has been to provide information and outreach on topics ranging from scholarships, grants, and loans to financial literacy.
Increasing Utah residents' financial literacy base has been a major focus for UHEAA because of the positive and immediate impact it can have on individuals. UHEAA has been supportive of efforts such as Utah's Jump$tart Coalition for financial literacy, which is designed to assist educators in the field with access to information and business professionals that help to enhance the financial literacy educational experience. UHEAA has supported, for multiple years, two $1,000 dollar scholarships that have gone to high school seniors who have written essays detailing the benefits of being financially literate.
Promoting financial literacy has been, and it will continue to be one of UHEAA's core outreach missions. UHEAA is committed to providing individuals with the information and resources that will make financial literacy a reality.
